Do any of the early shows on this site sound good enough to download? Anything with Dark Star?

Here's one to add to the others posted:

Ditto on 6-22-73...

another AUD which is superior to the SBD is 5-1-81.
Can't help you w/a DarkStar on that one, though. But the Let it Grow>Deal will melt your face just fine.

Jody, why are you starting in with Clifford again?

Bet you still havent streamed the Dark Star/El Paso or NFA/China Cat Jam?

Cliff will be listening to AUDs from the late '80s before you get hip brother ;)

Somebody, please help Cliff!

I couldn't help myself. Is that so wrong? I did listen to all the aforementioned tracks and loved them. I had simply wondered how when one dwells on such a short period (68-71)'how one would justify listening to one show, say 9 times? Why not stream the 4 nights of the Felt Forum? Really, Jody wonders why Cliff takes exception to this line of questioning. All in good cheer.

Jody, if youre going to "rough-house" with Cliff, get your facts straight, its <78!

Cliff was listening to Felt Forum shows before he had to shave!

And Cliff admittedly has enjoyed some 1979 shows, this one courtesy of SDH...

If sound quality is your main concern, in addition to the afformentioned 8/6/71 (which isn't just one of the bet auds of all time but one of the best Dead tapes from any source ever to circulate), 5/3/69, 7/1/73, and 6/24/74 are all great sounding audience tapes from the pre-retirement years.

There are others but these are usually the first I think of.

Wow. Shockingly good quality. It seems clear we need to spend more time discussing good auds. They remain a secret to many here....

The links Dire provided are excellent, but sometimes it takes advice from those we trust to narrow the search.
